Meet Our Operations Director

Jim Becker
Director of Operations

The person who drives the routes, knows the roads, and makes sure every trip runs exactly right.

25 years of learning how people connect

Jim Becker's career spans the Navy, tech consulting, state government, entrepreneurship, and luxury transportation — but the through-line has always been the same: understanding what builds trust and what breaks it.

As a submarine veteran, Jim learned to trust his crew with his life. Over 16 years in management and technology consulting, he untangled complex systems for organizations across the country. As a policy analyst for the Colorado Department of Labor, he supported the state's workers' compensation system. And as a foster parent for 20 years, he learned to meet people exactly where they are.

In 2017, Jim founded his own luxury transportation company with one car and a belief that the industry had it backwards — focused on vehicles when it should've been focused on people. Over eight years, he grew that company to $1.4M in revenue, 6,000 clients, and an 86% annual retention rate. Not because he had fancier cars. Because every client interaction was designed around one principle: you matter.

When that company was acquired in 2025, Jim brought that philosophy to Arion as Director of Operations. He wrote Arion's 70-page chauffeur training handbook from scratch — grounded in interpersonal communication theory, not just driving procedures. Active listening. Emotional attunement. Reading the room. Our drivers don't just open doors. They create the kind of experience that makes someone exhale and think, these people actually care.

Route and timing guides

How long does it actually take to get from DIA to Vail? What time should you leave Denver for a 7:30 PM Red Rocks show? Which I-70 exit do you take for Copper Mountain versus Breckenridge? These are the articles Jim writes — specific, operational, based on thousands of real trips.

Transportation logistics

Ski resort transfers, airport pickup choreography, wedding-day vehicle coordination, corporate conference ground plans. The detailed planning pieces that turn a complicated day into a smooth one.

Venue and experience guides

Red Rocks insider tips, Ball Arena parking hacks, what to expect driving Independence Pass in September. First-person operational knowledge from someone who drives these roads every week — not research compiled from other websites.
